Further information: Milton Keynes map
Heath Scientific is based in Bletchley, part of the 'new city' of Milton Keynes - and is located halfway between London and Birmingham on the North-South axis and Oxford and Cambridge on the East-West axis. The office is easily accessed by road and train within the UK and there are good links from the London airports. Car
We are close to the M1 and A5 (N-S) and the A421 (E-W) roads. Within Milton Keynes main roads are in a grid and are also numbered H1-10 (horizontal i.e. E-W, higher number further South) and V1-10 (vertical i.e. N-S, higher number further East). At each intersection there is a roundabout and each roundabout has a clearly marked name. Thus within Milton Keynes traffic flows easily and it is easy to get to places. North House is in the 'Bond Estate', Bond Estate is off Bond Avenue. Bond Avenue is on the V8 between the H9 and H10 intersections! We are in North House, if you come in the entrance marked 1 North House, we are on the ground floor. See the map below for position.
From the M1 (N or S) leave at Junction 13 and take the A421 to Milton Keynes, follow this road for 5km (3.5m) to a roundabout (named Kingston). Here take the H9 Groveway, follow this road and after 4km (2.5m) at the 3rd roundabout (Simpson), turn left into the V8 Marlborough Street. Follow this, go straight ahead at the roundabout (Mount Farm) into Bond Avenue then across a mini-roundabout. Bond Estate entrance is then 200 metres on the left, just past the bus stop. From the A5 heading North, there is a major roundabout with a 'Little Chef' just outside Milton Keynes borders, continue on the A5 but take 1st exit slip-road sp Milton Keynes East and West. You come to double roundabout (Bletcham/Caldecotte). Take first exit H10 Bletcham Way; in 700m turn right at a mini-roundabout,this is Bond Avenue, Bond Estate is 500m on right. From the A5 heading South, take the A5(M) 'through' Milton Keynes and take the fourth and final Milton Keynes exit marked (only) Milton Keynes South and East. You come to the double roundabout (Caldecotte/Bletcham), take the third exit H8 Bletcham Way ; in 700m turn right at a mini-roundabout, this is Bond Avenue, Bond Estate is 500m on right. From the A421 heading West (i.e. from Bedford) Travel along the A421 to the M1 at Junction 13, follow directions above for arrival from M1. From the A421 heading East (ie from Wales and the West via Buckingham) follow the A421 into Milton Keynes, where it is also called the H8 Standing Way. Continue over four roundabouts until the Elfield Park roundabout, there turn right, V4 Watling Street. At the next roundabout (Granby) go straight on into the H10 Bletcham Way, keep on the H10 and at the second roundabout (a mini) turn left, this is Bond Avenue. Bond estate is 500m on right. Train
Bletchley and Milton Keynes Central are both on the London to Scotland West Coast Mainline. Trains go North from London Euston and South from Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow etc. Most trains (fast and slow) stop at Milton Keynes Central, slow trains stop at Bletchley. Whilst Bletchley is closer to us it is likely that a faster train will go to Milton Keynes Central. Telephone us from either station and we should be with you in 10 minutes.
Air
London airports and Birmingham airport are convenient. Birmingham Airport is directly on the main train line to Milton Keynes and Bletchley. However there are few flights. London Heathrow Airport is 100km away there is a coach connection to Milton Keynes (phone us from the Coach Station). By train, take either the Heathrow Express to Paddington and then underground railway ('tube') or the 'tube' change at Green Park to London Euston and hence by train. Alternatively by hire car via M4, M25 then M1 is possible. 'Tube' and train is likely to take 2-3 hours from airport to office, car would take 1-3 hours depending on the time of day! London Gatwick is further afield but is just as quick by train (through trains do run to Milton Keynes or change at 'Watford Junction'), car is M23, M25 and M1 with a journey time half an hour longer. There is a coach service. London City Airport is convenient for the train, London Stansted requires a car (via A421) and London Luton, the closest, requires a car (via the M1) or coach.
We look forward to welcoming you to Heath Scientific. Bon Voyage! |
